I'm a long time listener, originally from Chula Vista, now retired in Tucson and listing via the Internet. Thanks for the beautiful music.

We Mexicans, also despise those government ads. They are bad in spanish and worse in english. Hope you can get rid of those soon.

Please, no more of these loud adds! I listen to XLNC for the music, and any talking is always done is a nice, soft voice. Tha adds (which I don't understand) are quite intrusive to the listening. My husband said to stop pledging!

I so do appreciate your classical music programming. The Spanish language ads are no bother for me. Better than English ones, I can tune out the Spanish. And they are a small price for continued classical music for San Diego. Thank you.

Your over-the-air signal is unreliable, so I usually listen to your station via the internet. Unfortunately, your audio stream is not working. It frequently is not working, especially on weekends. That and the horrible Spanish-language ads, which you say are required before a Mexican election, are really unpleasant facts of life. Your music is fine - when it's possible to hear it.

We have lived temporarily in San Diego for the past nearly two years, and XLNC has been a blessing in our lives. We will miss your lovely music when we return to our permanent home in a couple of weeks. Thank you.

You provide great music to San Diego and Tijuana. The political notices are a minor inconvenience when compared to all the other musical radio venues. Compared to what XLNC1 had in the past, this current situation may seem intolerable, however, when compared to everything else available, it is only a minor interruption. Thank you so very much for your wonderful station and the musical inspiration you provide this marvelous region.

I do hope that these ads either change in tone or go away entirely. They are so not in keeping with the lovely station you have worked so hard to build over the years.

Dear friends. I bear with you the horror of mexican political ads, just so we can continue listening to the best music ever. Thank you.

I enjoy your classical programming and listen continually while driving or at home. The music is truly beautiful. Just one suggestion...there is an ad or announcement in Spanish from time to time which sounds like people yelling in unison. The sound of this is so out of character with the normal programming, it is like finger nails on a chalk board. I always have to turn off the sound or change stations. ...perhaps an ad more in concert with the beatiful sounds would be more appropriate and less irritating. Thanks.

I have been living in Tijuana for 23 years ever since I found and love your Radio Station, love the music, it’s relaxing when driving, my little nice and nephew love the station. But the one thing I hate is the Mexican announcements they are an annoyance to everyone. If you can’t take them off, turn the volume down during the commercial. Love your new programming, helps the young ones be more interested in classical music.

Jim in Pine Valley asks if ... "anyone considers Led Zeppelin, ABBA, Beatles, Queen, and Pink Floyd to be on the same level as Bach, Brahms, Mozart, and Lizst?" He thinks not. I wonder. When a great phil orchestra plays a good arrangement of some of these rockers, it is amazing how good the compositions and sophisticated the structures... my fave is the Beach Boys Water Music Suite ... And besides, not all the big classical composers are that listenable today with all their painful redundancies and drama... Vivalldi's Four Seasons/ Painfully boring. Ravel's Bolero? Chinese water torture. Most of Ludwig von Bombastic too boot.

In case you're interested, XLNC1 has a separate music stream playing on the internet free of the annoying Mexican voting announcements. You can access it from the home page where you can follow the "Listen Now!" link. If you are technically savvy, you can play the audio through your entertainment center and enjoy the great sound quality.
